Good Day

I tried so dearly to get Tim and Dan nicely composed on camera as I held the Sony PMW-EX1 outside my car window, driving and trying to steer from moving traffic.

I had to show them how this poorly though-through visual effect would happen, and how to react to nothing before post.

A little in-expensive AE visual effect breakdown.  Colour correction was added only on the last frame shown.

The Process:

This short film was completely improvised on-set right after we finished another film and had a bit more time before sun-down.  The nervous dark-haired character (played by Timothy Gray) is showing us what a typical weekend day is like, specifically in the later afternoon, for him.  Except, the normal weekend day he gets to spend with his best-friend (played by Dan Huen) turns out to be a special one.  Written by Tim Gray.  Directed By Steve Gray.  Starring Dan Huen and Tim Gray.
